Juno Beach, FL · Since 1998

Pest control built for Juno Beach oceanfront & dune-edge homes.

Juno Beach is small (population under 4,000) but pest pressure is concentrated. Loggerhead-Marinelife-area condos, oceanfront single-family homes, and dune-edge properties all see coastal termite, sand fly, and mosquito issues. Salt-air pest pressure is real here, and we've been working Juno Beach routes for 34 years.

Juno-specific pests

What's actually living in your Juno Beach property.

Coastal Juno has a salt-air pest profile — heavier subterranean termite pressure, sand fly issues, occasional sea-roach migrations after big surf, and mosquitoes off the dune-edge wetlands.

Coastal subterranean termite damage at a Juno Beach oceanfront home
#1 in Juno

Coastal subterranean termites

Salt air corrodes slab penetrations and concrete cracks at 2–3× the inland rate. Oceanfront and Loggerhead-area Juno homes need the Termidor SC barrier checked at year 5–6 (sooner than inland). If termites come back during the warranty period, we come back.

Mosquito control in Juno Beach — dune-edge wetland pressure

Mosquitoes & no-see-ums

The dune-edge wetlands and Juno Beach Park backwater generate sustained breeding. Plus the no-see-ums — biting midges that breed in damp soil and mulch, common in coastal Juno. Barrier spray + In2Care + granular mulch treatment.

German roach issue in a Juno Beach oceanfront condo
Oceanfront condos

German roaches (condo)

The oceanfront condos in Juno occasionally see German roach issues that travel between units through shared plumbing. Building-wide gel bait protocol coordinated with property management. We've coordinated multiple oceanfront Juno condo programs over the years.

Roof rats

Older Juno single-family homes — Juno Isles, Sea Oats — have Spanish-tile roofs and oak canopies. Trap-and-seal: snap traps inside, hardware cloth on every soffit penetration, plus tree-trim recommendation. 30-day re-entry warranty.

Iguanas, raccoons, opossums

Juno's canal-side and dune-edge homes deal with iguanas in pool screens, raccoons in trash, and opossums in soffits. Live trap, humane removal, FWC permit-coordinated. Pool screen exclusion (chicken wire) included.

Dale Martin learned no-see-um work in Juno.

Juno Beach taught us no-see-um work. Standard mosquito treatments don't address them — they breed in damp mulch, not standing water. Dale's first Juno call in 2002 was a no-see-um problem we couldn't initially solve. Took us a season to figure out the granular mulch approach. Twenty-three years later we have the only PBC pest company with a dedicated coastal sand-fly protocol.

FAQ

Juno Beach-specific questions, Juno-specific answers.

What about the no-see-ums on the beach properties?
No-see-ums (biting midges) breed in damp soil and mulch — different than mosquitoes. Standard mosquito barrier spray helps but doesn't eliminate. We add a granular treatment in mulch beds and recommend gravel-pad replacement at high-density spots. Coastal Juno sees this much more than inland.
How fast can you get to my Juno Beach home?
50 minutes average door-to-door from our Lake Worth Beach shop in 2024. Our two trucks run northern routes Mon–Fri (Saturday emergency response). Same-day for emergencies; next-day for booked inspections.
I'm closing on a Sea Oats oceanfront — what about salt-air pest issues?
FL-1A WDO inspection at $125 is essential. Salt-side soffit corrosion, slab penetration cracks, and pool deck expansion joints are all common termite entry points on oceanfront homes. We turn around in 24–48 hours.
Do you do oceanfront condo associations?
Yes. Several Juno oceanfront condo associations active. Building-wide German roach protocols when needed, coordinated unit access, exterior bait stations, and balcony perimeter spray. Different pricing structure (commercial contract).
The seabirds nesting in our soffit — can you help?
Maybe. We don't relocate protected migratory birds (federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act). For starlings, sparrows, and pigeons we can do bird-proofing during off-nesting season. Loggerheads (turtles) and migratory shorebirds — separate FWC issue, we'd refer you out.
Salt damage to my pest control bait stations — keep replacing them?
Coastal Juno corrodes rodent bait stations 2× faster than inland. We use marine-grade stainless steel stations on oceanfront properties — costs more upfront, lasts 5+ years instead of 18 months. Worth it.
Juno Beach pest research

Juno's coastal-condo + sea-turtle pest profile.

Our Juno Beach treatment plans reference UF/IFAS Extension publications, FWC sea turtle nesting rules, and EPA-registered coastal mosquito products. Here's the published science behind your local pressure.

Subterranean termites

Older Juno condos at high pressure.

UF/IFAS subterranean termite research identifies pre-1990 condo construction on coastal sandy soil — characteristic of older Juno Beach properties — as among the highest soil-borne termite pressure profiles in PBC. Termidor SC soil barrier is the published-validated treatment.

Sea turtle nesting season

FWC restricts coastal mosquito control timing.

Florida FWC sea turtle protection rules restrict outdoor pesticide application timing on coastal properties from May–October during nesting season. We use Bti-based larvicides (the only EPA-registered product cleared for proximity to nesting beaches) and adjust application windows accordingly.

Iguanas on Loxahatchee

FWC removal protocols on private property.

Florida FWC classifies green iguanas as non-native invasive and authorizes humane removal year-round. The Loxahatchee River corridor — Juno Beach's western boundary — is a designated FWC-priority removal zone. We follow FWC handling protocols on every job.
