Lake Worth Beach is where DeBugem started. Dale Martin opened in 1998 with one Dodge pickup in a garage on the south end of town — bringing seven years of national-chain pest control experience with him from before. Today — still owner-operated, two techs (Dale and James), two trucks — this is our home market. Closest service area, lowest response time, deepest knowledge of which neighborhoods have which problems. Note: the city was officially renamed from "Lake Worth" to "Lake Worth Beach" in 2019. Locals still use both. So do we.
Lake Worth Beach is split between the historic downtown grid (where the real termite work happens), the beach district east of A1A, and the inland suburban neighborhoods. We've worked every block.
Lake Worth has the most architecturally varied neighborhoods of any city we cover — 1920s downtown bungalows, 1950s mid-century, 1980s condos along Lake Worth Lagoon, and 2000s inland subdivisions. Each has its own pest profile.

The downtown grid (Bryant Park, Parrot Cove, College Park) has 1920s–40s heart-pine bungalows on raised foundations. Termite-attractive lumber, and most homes haven't had a soil barrier in 15+ years. Termidor SC liquid barrier — 8–10 year residual. If termites come back during the warranty period, we come back.

Same historic bungalows have heart-pine attic rafters drywood termites love. Localized borate-based wood treatment for contained activity, full Termidor program for whole-house cases. We've treated hundreds of downtown Lake Worth attics over 34 years.
Termite treatment →
Ghost ants pressure is heavy along the western inland neighborhoods (Sherbrooke, Lake Osborne) where canal-side irrigation creates the moisture they need. Non-repellent gel bait, 7–10 day knockdown. 90-day quarterly perimeter program from $95.
Quarterly program →
Bryant Park and Parrot Cove have mature live oak canopies overhanging barrel-tile roofs — classic roof rat highway. Trap-and-seal: snap traps inside, hardware cloth on every soffit penetration, plus tree-trim recommendation. 30-day re-entry warranty.
Rodent control →
Beach district homes east of A1A and the Lake Worth Lagoon-edge properties see heavy summer mosquito pressure. Barrier spray + In2Care station programs Apr–Nov. A few homes justify a misting system. Most do well with the barrier-only program.
Mosquito control →
The 1980s condo buildings along Federal Hwy and the Lake Worth Lagoon occasionally have German roach issues that travel between units through shared plumbing. Building-wide gel bait protocol coordinated with property management.

average door-to-door response from our Barnett Drive shop to a Lake Worth call last year. Probably the fastest in PBC.
Most of our trucks pass through Lake Worth on their way to anywhere else. If you call before 11 AM with an active issue, we usually have someone at your door before lunch — same day, same tech, no answering service. This is our home market in every literal sense.
Dale opened DeBugem in 1998 out of a south Lake Worth garage with one Dodge pickup and a Termidor certification. Thirty-four years later, the company is on Barnett Drive — three blocks from where it started. Both of our techs are based locally. The first customer ever lives in Boynton, but the second was on Lake Avenue and is still on quarterly today. This is our hometown in every meaningful way.
Lake Worth Beach is where our trucks start every day. Our treatment plans reference UF/IFAS Extension, FDACS, and Palm Beach County Mosquito Control data — applied to the homes and HOAs we work in every week.
UF/IFAS subterranean termite research identifies heart pine framing — characteristic of pre-WWII Lake Worth bungalows in College Park, Bryant Park, and Pinewood Park — as among the highest cellulose-attractant lumber in Continental US construction. Soil-applied Termidor SC creates a published-validated barrier.
UF/IFAS termite research ↗Property managers along the Lake Ave / Dixie Hwy corridor need clean pest-control documentation for board reviews. Our commercial program documents IPM compliance — sighting log, EPA-registered SDS, tech license, bait station map — to property-management standards.
FDACS pest control rules ↗Palm Beach County Mosquito Control identifies the eastern Lake Worth Beach corridor — Bryant Park to the pier — as a year-round Aedes taeniorhynchus and Culex breeding zone. Bti-based larvicide on standing water is the EPA-registered approach we apply on every visit.
